The service that Mediterranean Shipping Company is about to launch will help Chinese export companies reduce costs and increase efficiency

Ma'anshan is located in the eastern part of Anhui, straddling both sides of the Yangtze River, where Jiangsu and Anhui meet. It is one of the 27 cities in the central area of the Yangtze River Delta and one of the core cities of the Wanjiang Economic Belt. Relying on the unique Yangtze River coastline resources in the territory, it is based in the province, serves the Yangtze River Economic Belt, radiates the central and western regions, and connects with the Shanghai International Shipping Center. It has become a river-sea transport hub with concentrated shipping elements, complete functions, prosperous markets, and "the sea is at Ma".

With the further advancement of the national strategic planning listed in the Outline of the Regional Integration Development Plan of the Yangtze River Delta, Mediterranean Shipping will officially launch the Yangtze River Inland Branch Export Service from Ma'anshan Tianshun Port to Shanghai Port in June.

The Yangtze River Inland Branch Shipping business covers a wide range, including Shanghai Port, various branch ports, major shipping companies, various barge companies, freight forwarding companies, ship agency companies, cargo owners, foreign consignees, customs, maritime affairs, national inspection, etc.

Among them, they can be divided into regulatory units - customs, maritime affairs, and national inspection; operating units - Shanghai Port and various feeder ports; carriers - major shipping companies and barge companies; agency units - freight forwarders and ship agency companies; cargo owners - cargo owners and foreign consignees.

Through information exchange and information integration, the external customer service level of the Yangtze River feeder port and shipping companies will be improved, and the logistics service upgrade will be promoted. Better realize the Yangtze River business collaboration, consolidate the Yangtze River Basin transportation network, and expand the advantages of Shanghai Port to the Yangtze River.

It is reported that Mediterranean Shipping will cooperate with local barge agents to launch a barge feeder service that goes directly to Shanghai four times a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday) to better serve local export companies.

So far, Mediterranean Shipping has basically formed full coverage of Anhui's major river ports, helping enterprises to "reach the river and the sea".

Ma'anshan Tianshun Port was officially opened in April 2009, with an annual container throughput capacity of 300,000 TEUs and a waterway distance of 360 kilometers from Wusongkou.

The port has obvious location advantages, 5 kilometers away from Ma'anshan Railway Freight Station and about 20 kilometers away from the three major economic development zones in Ma'anshan. It is a port at the doorstep of local entrepreneurs, providing more advantageous shipping logistics costs and more convenient and efficient logistics services for local import and export goods.
