Foreign trade achieved a stable start. my country's total import and export value increased by 13.3% year-on-year in the first two months

According to customs statistics, in the first two months of this year, my country's total import and export value was 6.2 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 13.3%. Among them, exports were 3.47 trillion yuan, an increase of 13.6%; imports were 2.73 trillion yuan, an increase of 12.9%; the trade surplus was 738.8 billion yuan, an increase of 16.3%, and this year's foreign trade achieved a stable start.

General trade imports and exports increased and the proportion increased. In the first two months, my country's general trade imports and exports were 3.94 trillion yuan, an increase of 16.3%, accounting for 63.5% of my country's total foreign trade, an increase of 1.6 percentage points year-on-year. Among them, exports were 2.18 trillion yuan, an increase of 17.4%; imports were 1.76 trillion yuan, an increase of 14.9%.

Imports and exports to major trading partners such as the EU and ASEAN increased. In the first two months, the total trade value between my country and the EU was 874.64 billion yuan, an increase of 12.4%. The total trade value between my country and ASEAN was 870.47 billion yuan, an increase of 10.5%, accounting for 14% of my country's total foreign trade. During the same period, my country's total imports and exports with countries along the Belt and Road reached 1.92 trillion yuan, up 18.3%. Among them, exports reached 1.09 trillion yuan, up 16.6%; imports reached 831.31 billion yuan, up 20.7%.

The imports and exports of private enterprises grew rapidly and their proportion increased. In the first two months, private enterprises' imports and exports reached 2.99 trillion yuan, up 16.1%, accounting for 48.2% of my country's total foreign trade, up 1.1 percentage points from the same period last year. During the same period, foreign-invested enterprises' imports and exports reached 2.22 trillion yuan, up 8.6%, accounting for 35.8% of my country's total foreign trade.

The exports of mechanical and electrical products and labor-intensive products both increased. In the first two months, my country exported 2.02 trillion yuan of mechanical and electrical products, up 9.9%, accounting for 58.3% of the total exports. Exports of labor-intensive products reached 621.46 billion yuan, up 8.9%, accounting for 17.9%.
