On September 24th, the China Hubei-Sri Lanka Economic, Trade and Cultural Exchange Conference, themed "Silk Road Links Hubei, Ceylon Wins Together," was successfully held simultaneously via online and offline formats at two venues: the Science Auditorium of Central China Normal University in China, and the Conference Hall in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
The conference was jointly hosted by the Department of Commerce of Hubei Province, Central China Normal University, Sri Lanka's Ministry of Trade, Commerce, Food Security & Cooperative Development, among others. It aimed to deepen economic and trade cooperation, cultural exchanges, and talent cultivation between Hubei and Sri Lanka under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative.
As a representative key enterprise directly under Hubei Province, Big Trade Data was invited to attend the conference and signed a strategic cooperation agreement on-site with Sri Lanka's Ministry of Trade, Commerce, Food Security & Cooperative Development, positioning itself as a key force in promoting practical bilateral cooperation.
During the conference, Long Xiaohong, Director of the Hubei Provincial Department of Commerce, pointed out that economic and trade exchanges between Hubei and Sri Lanka have shown strong growth momentum. In the first half of this year, Hubei's exports to Sri Lanka increased by 34% year-on-year, demonstrating significant potential and vitality for cooperation. To further support enterprises in expanding into international markets, the conference featured the unveiling ceremonies for the "Hubei Enterprise Going Global · Sri Lanka Overseas Service Station" and the "Hubei Enterprise Going Global · Global Economic, Trade and Cultural Exchange Center - South Asia Branch." These milestones mark a new, institutionalized, and platform-based stage of cooperation between Hubei and South Asia.

At the signing ceremony, Ms. Dai, Deputy General Manager of Big Trade Data (Western Region), stated that the company will leverage its global data resources and intelligent trade tools to establish a "Hubei-Sri Lanka Digital Trade Corridor." This initiative aims to reduce cross-border transaction costs for enterprises and enhance trade facilitation levels.
This agreement with the Sri Lankan government not only highlights Big Trade Data's pivotal role within Hubei's opening-up landscape but also demonstrates its leading advantage in empowering traditional trade upgrades through technology. By integrating Sri Lanka's locational resources with Hubei's industrial base, Big Trade Data will promote the formation of exemplary cooperative achievements between enterprises from both sides in areas like trade facilitation and digitalization, injecting new momentum into the Belt and Road economic and trade ecosystem.
